Proatmeal

Servings: 1 Prep Time: 0 min Cook time: 5-10 min Total Time: 5-10 min

Ingredients: (may vary based on amount of oats desired, protein powder, and toppings)⠀⠀

1/2 cup oats dry*⠀⠀

1/2-1 cup water ⠀⠀

1/2 cup uncooked liquid egg whites**⠀⠀

Directions:⠀⠀⠀⠀

  1. In a small/medium sauce pan add oats and water

  2. Cook until almost all the water is boiled off. Once almost all the water is evaporated add in uncooked liquid egg whites and stir until well incorporated. Do not let the egg whites sit. This will cause the mixture to be chunky and that’s just gross.

  3. Cook until egg whites are fully cooked and incorporated into the oats. The consistency should be thick and creamy.

  4. Remove from heat and add in protein powder and stir until completely incorporated. Pour oats into a bowl and top with desired fruit and your favorite nut butter (mine is homemade almond butter. Find my recipe here). ⠀⠀⠀

Notes:⠀⠀⠀⠀

* Changes to the amount of oats cooked should be changed based on an individuals macronutrient breakdown.⠀ ⠀

**Add an equal amount of liquid egg whites to whatever amount of dry oats desired. So for example 1/2 cup dry oats you would use 1/2 cup liquid egg whites, 1/3 cup dry oats would yield 1/3 cup of liquid egg whites.
